Where has the year gone? We’ve changed the clocks, its
getting dark by about 4 O’clock everyone thinking about
Christmas we are thinking about next spring and summer.
In general October has been a reasonable month with trade on
Pack Bedding and Autumn Vegetable very strong. Autumn Basket
Plants, Herbs and Alpines have also been selling very well.
As we now begin to slow down all our efforts go towards next
years planning. The “Fine” baskets sales are very
encouraging for next spring we are very nearly up to
capacity if you want to reserve any hurry up because its
looking like to order book will be full by the end of the
month. Potted bulb sales look very encouraging for early
part of spring. We will also be getting in touch with you
with the Vegetable range for 2008 very shortly. If you are
not an existing customer please do not hesitate to contact
Andy Cook on the sales team
he will be more than willing to discuss current and future
offers with you. Don’t forget next years Mothers Day and
Easter are very early, Good Friday is the 21st
March so lets hope for a good start to the season next year
and continued sales through to June. Good luck for the rest
of the year and remember if you have any queries please do
not hesitate to contact
Andy or

Exciting times here at NFP, we are pleased to announce that we
have made an agreement with Fine Horticulture to continue with
their range of luxury hanging baskets. Nick Molesworth the owner
of Fine is joining us at Nursery Fresh to assist in the smooth
integration of the business, we have also acquired Nicks’
glasshouse unit which we are now in the process of relocating to
our site. Nick brings with him over 20 years experience in the
premium hanging basket and containerised rose production.
We will start next spring with production of the three identical
sorts of basket, and Nick is now busy contacting all of his
customers checking their requirements for the forthcoming
season. Andrew will also be contacting you to arrange samples
etc. for next spring, these baskets are a must for every garden
centre. For those of you new to Nick's baskets, please see our
product page for
Fine Baskets
or download the
detailed order form.
We shall also be offering Fine premium moss, available in
wholesale packs as well as retail packs, please contact us for
details. It is also anticipated that we shall commence Fine rose
production next autumn for deliveries Spring 2009; again Nick
and Andrew will be contacting you all to discuss this.
By incorporating the Fine brand under the NFP umbrella is a
positive step for us and keeps the outstanding reputation of
Fine trading in the future, and it is something which I am sure
Nicks’ late father, Peter, would have approved of.
I hope you all have a prosperous autumn trade, which will make
up for some the poor trading conditions we suffered earlier in
the year.
Good Luck to you all and thanks to all of you who have supported
us this year.

Now the
weather feels more
seasonal at last and looks to continue to be cooler and
unsettled, certainly until the middle
of the month.
Bulb sales continue to be very strong with good availability of
most varieties through February plus a fantastic range of
spring planters.
This month will see initial allocations of alpines and herbs
going out to our garden centre customers. Over wintered

coming out in the next week or two.
Don't forget to order early to avoid disappointment. Should you
